Why you're getting only half the picture in your ad reporting

Why you're getting only half the picture in your ad reporting

Your ads might be performing better than you think!

If you're advertising on the Meta platform (remember 'Meta' is the new Facebook!) it's worth making sure you're seeing a bigger picture than what is reported in Ad Manager.

Because of Apple's iOS updates that give users the option 'not to be tracked', Meta can't fully see the results from your ads. Make sure you are:

✏️ Viewing analytics in your sales platform (if you use Shopify, Squarespace etc)

✏️ Using Google Analytics on your website and that it can record conversions (purchases / signups etc)

✏️ Ultimately you want to be looking for a holistic view across all analytics platforms. Then you can work out that all-important true ROAS (Return-on-ad-spend)

A huge difference in reporting between platforms over a same period!

Meta are claiming that they have limited the under-reporting to just 8%, but we are seeing clients still missing up to HALF of the results in Ad Manager! 😮

ONE TO CHECK: A bug in the Ad Manager turned off some advertisers' ads (including ours!) last month - make sure yours are still running! ↗️
