Target Leads and Engaged Users With Ads!

Let's take our list-targeting even further by driving sales from engaged users that haven't quite converted yet!

Are you collecting user data in the form of leads, signups or checkouts?

If so, you can upload that list to your ad platform and run ads DIRECTLY to those users!

Note that we do not call these 'customers' - because they're not yet!

Here, we're focusing on those users that are close to becoming customers - or at least engaged enough to give you their details such as:

📧Email Address

🙋‍♂️Name (First only or full name)

📱Phone Number

You should already be running retargeting ads to users who have engaged with your ads, visited your site, maybe even added to cart but not purchased. If you're not, and you need help, sign-up for the ultimate digital ads course!

But you can take your retargeting ads a step further. Running ads to a list of users allows you to CUSTOMISE your message:

🏷️Maybe someone signed up for 10% off through your website, but haven't purchased... level-up that discount and run an ad offering 20% off!

🛒Perhaps the user provided all their details in the checkout process but didn't complete - were they not 100% convinced? Run an ad that demonstrates your great reviews and ratings, or re-iterates your product/service benefits!

📝Got a list of leads? Run another lead ad that prompts the user to schedule a call or demonstration - or offer a trial period just for them!

How do I find these users?

You'll be able to dig into your ecommerce platform and find your list of customers who have abandoned their cart or checkout.

Or even better, invest in a tool such as Klaviyo to really segment out your engagers - you can dig into who signed up for discounts, who intiated checkout - and of course you an harvest and record leads through the creation and implementation of forms.

Export your list and add it to your ad platform.

You can upload this list to your chosen ad platform (such as Meta (Instagram/Facebook)) and it will identify those users, if they have a profile on the platform.

Note: Your list must be a reasonable size (100 minimum, for Meta) for privacy protection.

Create a new campaign and you will be able to select your user list as the target audience!

Remember that these users are already aware of you - so make your message or offer relevant and don't repeat what they already know.

Don't let your first-party data go to waste! Re-engage those users, and provide confidence and offers to turn them into customers!
